About Us

Open Source Deal was started by a couple of guys who wanted to make Open Source Systems (OSS) available to as many as possible in as cheap a price as possible. They had undertaken this project as a part-time indulgence.

However, now we are a team of four, and we are pursuing Open Source Deal as a business venture, but at the same, still standing true to our word, of making OSS available to the masses. In this embarkment, we have re-launched our website giving our users a wholesome shopping cart experience. We believe that the Indian consumer should be able to take advantage of the technological improvements in e-Commerce and Online Shopping. And also that, even the uncommonly used Distributions should be available in the shortest time to every consumer in India.

Currently, we will continue to offer Open Source based Distributions. And as we go ahead, we will make sure that the latest Distributions and Applications in the OSS world are available first to our customers. Very soon we will also offer a wide variety of Linux Based Games and OSS Merchandise.

Through our newsletters and blogs, we will try to keep the Indian consumer informed about latest ongoings in the world of OSS.

And hopefully, in the long run, we would be able to offer our services internationally, where the idea will still remain to make OSS available at a price level at which any consumer need not think twice before "BUYING" it.
